Kuakata

Kuakata is locally known as Sagar Konda.It is located on the southernmost tip of Bangladesh. It is situated in Latachapli union under Kalapara Police Station of Patuakhali district.It is about 30 km long and 6 km wide.It is 70 km from Patuakhali district headquarters and 320 km from Dhaka.It is one of the unique spots which allow a visitor to see the the sunrise and sunset from the beach. That perhaps make kuakata one of the most attractive beaches in the world. The long and wide beach of kuakata has an amazing natural beauty. Bedsides, natural beauty,sandy beaches, blue sky and sparming Bay of Bengal waters make kuakata different. It is truly a virgin beach and a sanctuary for winter guest birds. The variety of colourful sailing boats in Bay of Bengal, surfing weaves and rows of coount trees add beauty to kuakata.Kuakata is also a holy land for the Hindus and Buddhists. Every year thousands of devotees come here to attend the festival Rash Purnima and Maghi Purnima. In the end, we can say that the kuakata beach is a wonderful tourist spot to visit.
